Terms of Use
Effective: August 8, 2026 · Last updated: August 25, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the CueStride mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, purchasing, or using CueStride, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Store terms also apply. Your use of CueStride is subject to the rules of the store from which you downloaded it. For apps obtained through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies and these Terms supplement it. If these Terms conflict with mandatory store terms, the mandatory store terms control.
1. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you have not reached the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use and any purchase. CueStride is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their country.
2. License
Subject to these Terms and applicable store rules, CueStride grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control for personal or internal business purposes.
You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app except as expressly permitted by law;
- reverse engineer, bypass, defeat, or interfere with security, purchase verification, entitlement limits, or technical restrictions, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use CueStride to violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or another person's safety;
- introduce malware, overload the Service, probe its infrastructure without authorization, or use automated means to abuse it; or
- misrepresent your entitlement, store transaction, identity, or authorization to use content.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of scripts, recordings, captions, brand assets, and other content you create or import. CueStride does not claim ownership of that content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to record, import, display, edit, caption, and distribute it, including consent from people you record where required.
The Service is local-first and is not a backup service. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and reviewing exports before relying on them. Deleting the app or local content may be permanent.
4. Free and Pro features
CueStride may provide free features, paid subscriptions, and a one-time lifetime purchase. The features included in each offering are described in the app at the time of purchase and may evolve as the Service improves. We will not intentionally remove already-delivered lifetime access solely to convert it into a subscription, but particular features may change or be discontinued where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, platform changes, or service viability.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
Pricing and payment
The app displays the applicable price, currency, billing period, and included features before you confirm a purchase. Apple or Google processes payment using your store account. Taxes and currency conversion may apply. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Automatic renewal
Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew for the same period unless you cancel before renewal in accordance with your store's rules. Your store account is charged the price shown by the store. The store will provide any legally required notice of a price change or request your consent where required.
Cancellation
You can cancel through the subscription settings of the Apple App Store or Google Play account used to purchase. Deleting CueStride does not cancel a subscription. Unless applicable law or store rules say otherwise, cancellation stops future renewal and access continues until the end of the paid period.
Free trials and promotions
If a free trial or promotional offer is displayed, its duration and eligibility rules will be shown before purchase. Unless canceled before the trial ends under store rules, it may convert to the displayed paid subscription.
Lifetime purchase
A "lifetime" purchase means access to the CueStride Pro features identified at purchase for as long as CueStride makes the applicable version of the Service commercially available and the store can verify the purchase. It does not mean your lifetime, guarantee perpetual platform compatibility, include unrelated future products, or require us to operate external services indefinitely.
Restore, refunds, and billing issues
Use “Restore Purchases” while signed in to the original store account. Refund requests and billing disputes are generally handled by Apple or Google under their policies, without limiting rights that cannot legally be waived. Contact support if a valid purchase does not unlock after restoration.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, add, suspend, or discontinue features. Device hardware, operating-system versions, permissions, local storage, network conditions, and third-party store services can affect availability. We may impose reasonable technical limits to protect security, reliability, and fair use.
We do not promise that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or third-party app. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve paid access and communicate material changes where practical.
7. Safety and professional use
Do not operate CueStride in a way that distracts you while driving, operating machinery, or performing another activity requiring attention. CueStride is a production aid, not an emergency, medical, legal, financial, accessibility-certification, archival, or safety-critical service. Review scripts, captions, recordings, and exports before publishing or relying on them.
8. Intellectual property
CueStride, its software, visual design, branding, and documentation are owned by CueStride or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Open-source components remain governed by their respective licenses.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using CueStride at any time. We may suspend online verification or terminate your right to use the Service if you materially violate these Terms, commit fraud, threaten the Service or others, or if required by law. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CueStride and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, content, or data arising from the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CueStride's aggregate liability arising out of the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for CueStride during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law. These limitations do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot legally be limited.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the provider of CueStride is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections and any legally required local forum remain available to you. Before filing a formal claim, you and CueStride agree to make a good-faith attempt to resolve the issue by email, unless immediate relief is reasonably necessary.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to CueStride, store rules, security needs, or law. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; otherwise, we will request consent.
15. General
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, or transfer of the Service. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable purchase disclosures, and mandatory store terms form the agreement concerning the Service.
